Planets Aligned For Jesus Birth On April 17th, 6 B.C.
April 15th, 2006 by The Sales Freak
I was watching CNN last night about how much mystery surrounds the life of Jesus Christ. They said that there is far more mystery with Jesus than any other religious figure, including Mohammed, the Buddha and others. This didn’t surprise me since it only makes sense that the life, death and resurrection of the King of Kings is going to be much more mysterious than the lives of mere mortals.
There was something that came up on the show that I found pretty fascinating. Especially, since Easter is happening this year on April 16th, 2006 and the Jewish Passover is taking place April 11th, 2006 thru April 20th, 2006.
According to the segment on CNN and the website Earth & Sky a researcher Michael Molnar, who is a student of astrology of the eastern Mediterranean during Roman times, with special attention to regal horoscopes and numismatics, has pinpointed an amazing celestial event that took place on April 17th, 6 B.C. This astronomical and astrological event matches the Bible’s description of the Star of Bethlehem that signified the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Bible records the birth of Jesus in this manner…
1Now Jesus having been born in Bethlehem of Judaea, in the days of Herod the king, behold magi from the east arrived at Jerusalem, saying, 2Where is the king of the Jews that has been born? for we have seen his star in the east, and have come to do him homage.3But Herod the king having heard [of it], was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; 4and, assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ should be born. 5And they said to him, In Bethlehem of Judaea; for thus it is written through the prophet: 6And *thou* Bethlehem, land of Juda, art in no wise the least among the governors of Juda; for out of thee shall go forth a leader who shall shepherd my people Israel. 7Then Herod, having secretly called the magi, inquired of them accurately the time of the star that was appearing; 8and having sent them to Bethlehem, said, Go, search out accurately concerning the child, and when ye shall have found [him] bring me back word, so that *I* also may come and do him homage. 9And they having heard the king went their way; and lo, the star, which they had seen in the east, went before them until it came and stood over the place where the little child was. 10And when they saw the star they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. —Matthew (Darby), Chapter 2, Verses 1-10
For skeptics who try to say that the story of the Star of Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus is a fictional account to add excitement to the story, I would say that it would be pretty hard for men to move planetary objects, even today. According to the findings of the researchers somethign pretty amazing happened on April 17th, 6 B.C. “On this date, the Sun, Moon, Venus, and Jupiter—the “three rulers of Aries” plus one—were all within Aries. The Sun and Venus were both thought to be at their most powerful in Aries. The Moon even passed in front of Jupiter on that day. And remember, Aries was the astrological domain of Judea.”

I don’t know about you, but I found this to be extremely cool. If it’s accurate then it means that Jesus came in the flesh as the Lamb of God, to take away the sins of the world, during the month of Nissan, the month of Passover (see Exodus 12) and He died during the Passover (see John 19) as the sacrificial lamb.

It just goes to show how much control the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has over all of His universe, His word and His people. Is anything too difficult for God? All I can say is “Come Lord Jesus, come!”.
