John & Becky's Movie Review Of Land of the Lost
Becky and I took the kids to see Land of the Lost earlier today at the AMC theaters in Highlands Ranch, CO. The Rotten Tomatoes website at UP describes the movie as follows:

Now, Marshall has no weapons, few skills and questionable smarts to survive in an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures from beyond our world–a place of spectacular sights and super-scaled comedy known as the Land of the Lost….”
The Review
Land of the Lost Justice League: The New Frontier divx is a remake of the Saturday morning show from the 70′s that I used to watch as a kid growing up, along with Sigmund the Sea Monster, so I was expecting a kid’s show. I guess I was wrong since this was rated PG-13 and lived up to its rating. It was totally inappropriate for kids under 17 for that matter, which is what our kids told us after the film. This movie was terrible on a number of levels.
buy Cutthroat Island The audience was filled with kids, after all, who else is going to go see this movie other than parents with their kids? Before you know it they were showing coffee cups with boobs on them, grabbing their crotch, swearing and I guess they even used the F word when I went to the concession stand.
We should have got up and left and we almost did, but it was too late once we were there – the damage had been done. I wouldn’t recommend this movie for anyone. Adults won’t find the humor funny and kids will find it offensive. Will Ferrell has proved that he is totally out of touch with reality, along with the rating’s system that think it’s okay for the F word to appear in PG-13 movies now.
The best thing about this movie was the Previews and the movie poster. I don’t know who they are going to reach with this film, but don’t waste your time or money on this one and whatever you do, don’t bring your kids.
